It was in Paris, in his neighborhood in the 9th arrondissement, and on the university benches that WETYWET took his first steps in music. Singing in a group of friends, he got started with collective writing and performing on stage. While singing has always been part of his world, it was writing and composing that led him to start a solo career and learn guitar and piano.

He draws his inspiration, both for his lyrics and his music, from his curiosity about the world around him and his love for all forms of music. Travel, numerous human and artistic encounters, and simply his everyday life are at the heart of his creative universe.

His love for words and catchy melodies is the starting point that shapes his compositions and gives the drive and energy found in his music. But it’s on stage that WETYWET defines his style. His taste for blending very festive tracks allows him to transcend his naturally reserved nature and establish a strong, organic connection with the audience. It also helps highlight more intimate songs where his sensitivity and unique voice timbre are fully expressed.

His stage experience led him to record his first album, echoing the beginning of his career: « Ce que tu me donnes », released in 2010, was recorded live, followed by a second studio album, « De quoi tu as peur ? », recorded in 2016. WETYWET, formerly known as “Kyssi Wète,” this Parisian artist, will make a comeback in the fall with a new album …
